COVID-19 Info
During this time, PSPS also continued work on their plans to open an Adult Dementia Daycare Center (more on this coming soon). PSSS ran their first Vaccination Program in conjunction with the vaccine artists at Chelsea Apothecary. PSPS was working almost non-stop delivering meals, checking in on home-bound residents to ensure their needs were being met, including (but not limited to) medications, vaccinations, remote exercise and educational programs. During this time, PSPS also continued work on their plans to open an Adult Dementia Daycare Center (more on this coming soon).
If you have a fever, dry cough/shortness of breath, and feel lethargic, call your Primary Health Provider or 911. If you feel healthy, but need to see a doctor and do not have a Primary Health Provider, call the Mt. Sinai Senior Health Practice at 212-463-0101. |
COVID-19 vaccines are now readily available for all adults. We recommend that you contact your primary care physician and/or pharmacy as many are reaching out to clients to schedule vaccinations. To find your nearest vaccination location, visit New York City's Vaccine Finder. PSSS and PSPS will continue to work together to ensure that everyone who wants a vaccine receives one.
COVID-19 virus and antibody testing are now available in the Chelsea community at the following locations—please visit these sites for information about requirements and types of testing available.
