Chelsea Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Joins the Penn South Community!

Penn South Social Services and Chelsea CSA have joined together to offer weekly produce distributions.

Tuesdays from 4 to 7 p.m.
June through November

What is a CSA?

A Community Supported Agriculture organization that provides weekly deliveries of fresh organic produce (and more) from a nearby farm to families that become members. At the same time the farm receives a reliable source of income.

Nonprofit Chelsea CSA has distributed organic produce from the Hudson Valley in our neighborhood for 23 years. 

Memberships run from June through November

Memberships are open to:

  • All ages and income levels

  • Anyone who lives in and/or works in or near Chelsea

Members have the option to buy a whole or partial share of vegetables. They have a tiered pricing structure that ranges from $403–666. Payment plans are also available.

CSA members can also buy optional shares of fruit, mushrooms, beans, bread and coffee; and, even more Farm goods on an ad-hoc basis. They range from $30–304.

Neighbors can split a seasonal share.
We can help you find someone to share yours!

Those who leave the city for the summer can join for September on a pro-rated basis.
